NTDA Scholarship Applications Due July 2, 2012
The NTDA is proud to once again offer a scholarship for a graduating high school senior whose parent is an employee of an NTDA member company. This year, the scholarship amount has increased to a whopping $8,500 thanks to an additional $1,500 in underwriting provided by HAVCO Wood Products LLC. Meritor Wabco and Bridgestone Bandage Tire Solutions continue to generously support the scholarship program. Without the underwriting of these companies, the scholarship program would not be possible. Applications are due July 2, 2012. Download application.

BTS Releases 2011 Border Crossing/Entry Data

The number of commercial truck crossings into the U.S. from Canada and Mexico was 10.4 million in 2011, 1.7% more than in 2010, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), a part of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration. The 2011 increase follows a 9.4% rise in 2010 after two years of decline during the recession period of 2008 and 2009. The truck-crossing numbers are included in the 2011 border-crossing data posted today on the BTS Web site.

Felling Trailers Employees Participate in Minnesota Food Share’s March Campaign

During the month of March, employees at Felling Trailers filled the “original” Felling Trailer with food and collected money for the Sauk Centre Food Shelf as part of Minnesota Food Share’s March Campaign. A total of 116 pounds of food and $250.00 was donated through Felling Trailers’ first annual Minnesota Food Share March Campaign.
